Dream 24, last night

I swear I'm going insane.

Yet another dream featuring Groban. I think it's the excitement surrounding August 10th.

So, I was at this "House of Music" or "House of Groban" - basically a huge modern building where Josh performs. Kind of like a museum. I saw Josh come out of the performance hall. I said hi and thanks for the music. He nodded.

Wow, I'd just met Josh Groban! Cool! I didn't even realize that until a few hours later, when Josh was on stage, telling about his childhood. I was also on stage, too, sitting on this cliff thing and watching. Other kids (?) were watching. So, he was talking about how he used to go to these cliffs, and dig into the sand until he hit a salt mine. Then he'd take some salt home. He was demonstrating on stage, with a shovel and a bucket and amazingly realistic cliffs and salt mines and sand.

As he was digging, he was talking about the dangers that salt water could come up spraying in your face. He reached the salt mine, and water gushed out, kind of like a medium sized fountain. I handed him a bucket that had a hole in the bottom, and told him to put it over the fountain so he wouldn't get wet. He did, and stood on it, but the force was so great he "levitated" in the air about an inch.

Later on, after the show, Dad's family joined us. Grandpa looked surprisingly healthy. We all went upstairs to a cafe, and peered out of the floor to ceiling windows at the parking lot below. Suddenly, we saw huge tour buses pull up. It was late evening, and Groban and his Groband had returned from touring in Arizona all day. As Groban was getting out of the bus, this man was spraying his pathway with water. We could hear them arguing - the man with the hose wanted to wash away poisons from the ground, but Josh just wanted to get out.

The end.

Dream 23, a few nights ago

Josh Groban was at Barnes and Noble signing copies of his new album and doing promotional stuff.

Oh em gee.

He was sitting at this table that I was sitting at, and everyone was watching the promotional music video featuring him and another artist.

After the video we were talking, and he was pretty funny, and he came over to my house later for fajitas.

Wow. That was a great dream.

Dream 22, last night

This was another Hermione-scary dream.

I was at one of my violin teacher's house and was playing the Accolay Concerto. The problem was that I couldn't get past the 4th or 6th measure! My mind completely blanked and when I looked at the music the notes looked different. It was right before a recital, too, and my teacher was sitting there shaking her head. *shudder * It was awful.

Dream 18, last night

I had a highly realistic dream about Sunday (my concert).

Dream 17, continued

I walked down the hallway, peering into rooms, some of which held two peoples, others had no curtains. I smiled at everyone and nodded hello, but I know I appeared nervous because meeting new people makes me jittery. Everyone was dirty, smelly, but there was a rawness about the way the moved and talked that made me intruiged.

I continued down the hallway and stepped into the lavatory. It was a huge mess. There was paper towels and toilet paper scattered on the floor. Water was leaking from pipes, and there were huge puddles of brown water and who knows what else. Many of the toilets were clogged and growing mold. A girl or young woman stood at the sink, fixing her hair.

"Does anyone ever clean?" I asked politely.

"Eh... naw. Too much to worry 'bout plus we don't have any cleaning stuff. Costs too much money. You new here, aren't you?" She replied warmly.

"Yeah," I said. I decided to try and get money so we could clean this place up.

After this point, the dream became a little more surreal. A man came over with a bunch of kids and we played pool. But something weird was going on with the balls, so they were doing stuff like stacking on each other.

Dream 17, last night

It began with myself and this person, a boy/man who was very important to me. I'll call him Adam. So Adam and I walked into a room that was like an auditorium. We had these staffs, everyone had staffs, and we sat down. A person came to the stage and instructed us to exchange our staffs for wands. As we did that, Adam and I vanished.

Either we had died before going into that room, or we had just died. At any rate, I felt a rising sensation and fog surrounded me. I looked down - Adam was rising with me, holding my hand. I could feel wind, but no dampness or cold.

We reached this room with white walls. There was a door in each opposite corner. On one wall, two ancient looking people stood, one a man, the other a woman. There faces had many creases and their eyes were open, but not blinking, not looking around. They were like statues.

In the center of the room, there was an old table made from a deep red wood. There was a hole in the center of the table, and two figures standing around the hole. They looked like little Buddha's, or elegant sumo wrestlers with more clothing.

Light streamed through a large window with no glass, although when we looked out, all we could see was that fog.

Adam, who seemed to know what was going on, whispered to me, "We have to wait for the statues to awake and determine we're reading to continue on. Then our figurines will fight, and the one that gets pushed into the hole first is sent through the corresponding door. If we want to go through together, both figurines have to push themselves in at the same time." Adam looked fierce, as though that's what he wanted. I wanted that, too.

It was a long wait, during which I realized this was heaven, and I had died. I cried some, because I knew that I most likely wouldn't go through the door with Adam. I'd never see him again. I would continue on alone.

Adam and I talked, but most of the time we stared at the figurines and the statues, thinking. Finally, after the longest wait I'd ever experienced, the figurines moved. They were ready to fight. The woman statue came to life, and signaled for them to begin.

It was very quick. Adam's figurine pushed mine into the dark hole. We would go on alone. The woman took my arm and led me to the door. I glanced back, the man was leading Adam through the other door.

We stepped into this elevator. I asked the woman, "Will I ever see him again?"

She replied, her voice surprisingly sweet and soft for her old age, "No, probably not."

"What will happen to me now?"

"You will be placed in a different dimension at the location you love best. It will be as if you never died. You will lead a near normal life, but you can do whatever you want."

I thought, California. That's where I want to go. Maybe I'll be able to see my family again.

"Your family does not exist anywhere. You won't see them again."

The elevator moved. My back hurt from the pressure of changing dimensions, I leaned back. "It hurts."

The old woman smiled. "Yes."

Instead of feeling depressed, I felt excited to be starting a "new" life, but with more experience than before. Adam was already fading from my mind.

The elevator stopped. I stepped out, into an old, crumbly building. There was a hallway, and either side were rooms. Half rooms, for one side of the wall was missing. People had hung curtains and cloth as doors to give themselves privacy. It was dirty. I turned around, more questions on my tongue. But the old woman was gone. I walked into the room I knew was mine. I tried to clean it up and hang a curtain, but there wasn't enough fabric. Hesitantly, I decided to see what type of people lived here.

to be continued.

Dream 16, last night

This one I was with my beloved family again, but my mom had had another boy, and he was about three years old. We were standing in a crowd behind a short wall. Behind the wall was a staircase going down. I set the boy on the railing and jumped down onto the stairs.

Holding up my arms, I said, "Jump down, I'll catch you." Some other older boys watched. My little brother slid off the banister and I caught him, but kind of let him crash into the stairs. Oops. He was okay, though.

I don't remember much more.

Dream 15, last night

This one I don't remember as well. I was in a humongous locker room. There were lockers lining the wall and lockers making isles. This was a martial arts school. Kids were ranging from 12 to 18 were putting there possessions in lockers and talking. Instructors would walk around, watching. It was very noisy.

Something happened, and I started running, trying to hide from a girl. She looked like Zhang Ziyi. Somehow, I knew she was really angry and wanted to knock my brains out. Eventually she caught up with me, and an instructor came by to watch us. The girl and I started fighting, but because she was much better, I was not only getting my brains knocked out, I was also getting other internal organs punched out of the system. (Not really, but it felt like it.) Eventually she was sitting on me and punching my face. The instructor watched calmly while I was calling for help.

Dream 14, last night

I was at my house with Barium. It started to rain, and we went outside to dance in the rain and play around. When we came back inside, we went to the study and started to work on school. However, we noticed that the walls were slowly starting to disinigrate and peel away where the wall meets ceiling. My mom and dad came up to look, and by then most of the top wall were missing. We could see spiders and mice droppings in the woodwork behind the plaster that had fallen away.

Dad said that the walls were made cheaply and this had happend a couple years before we moved in. He said the owners had repaired the walls, but this was so bad we were going to move. Barium and I got really excited - we wanted to move to California. Dad said that was too expensive, so we were going to stay in the same state.

Later on, I remember walking around our old neighborhood and seeing our old neighbor's little boy. I think I played baseball with him or something.

In the end we did move to California, and we found a bungalow house near the ocean.

Dream 13, last night

So, the whole gist of this dream was that I was jumping on celebrities. Yes, jumping, like a trampoline. The list includes, but is not limited to, Josh Groban, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Keisha Castle-Hughes. It was an extremely weird and somewhat disturbing.

Grrr! The spell checker keeps claiming that Groban isn't a word! It offers groan, Goran, Gran, Robin, and Robyn. It thinks Grobanite is Granite. Okay, enough whining.

Dream 12, Saturday (April 7) night

Finally I dream I've remembered long enough to write down.

I'm trying out for the youth symphonies again in this room that has walls painted white. There are windows and a large tree growing out of the floor of the room. Claudette, the audition judge, is sitting in a chair in front of me. She tells me to play a scale (I think it was F minor) but I realize that I'm not prepared. I ask her if I can come back later when I'm prepared and she says, "Yes, but just play me a C major scale before you go." I do, and it sounds medium quality. Ashamed, I exit the room while someone sitting on the tree stares at me.

I feel like Hermione when Ron teases her about what her worst fear would be if she confronted a boggart - Professor McGonagall telling her she got an A- on her paper.

Dream 11, last Saturday night

Okay, this occured after I woke up and went back to sleep.

There was a party at my old house. It was fun - people were playing games and cooking hot dogs and burgers. I don't remember that much, except Vadskye kept saying, "Wuv is wike a wed wose." >_< Yeah, it was weird. He scared everyone off doing that.

Dream 10, last Saturday night

My dad had died - I think in a car accident. I was grieving for him, but I didn't cry. I knew I should cry, so I was a bit mad at myself. I went to this pile of snow and wrote about Dad with a felt tipped blue marker. Then Dad appeared kind of like a ghost and was talking to me about what I wrote. I felt really sad and started crying.

I promptly woke up because I was in respiratory distress from the mucus draining into my windpipe created from crying in my sleep. I was sick, so that's partly why, too.

Don't you love happy dreams? :P

Dream 9, last night

My mom, brother, and I are at the top floor of a medical building. We walk into a small room with a glass window into another room - it's an place for people to observe an operation. My brother sits down but the nurse tells him to get up and come into the other room. We all walk into the surgery place.

This room is large, and it's walls are brick. It is dirty and dank. To our right, there are two gurneys side by side. On one gurney there is a corpse. The corpse is tanish brown, with darker brown spots, like it has been mummified. It is, or was, a young girl about Barium's age, and her hair is a brilliant red. Her mouth is gaping open. I see a small tooth.

I sit on the other gurney and watch the doctors as they take care of the corpse. One doctor gently lifts it up and carries it to a window. It is dark outside. As he sets the corpse down, the girl comes back to life. She steps out of her body, smiling, and throws the body out the window. Then she walks towards the exit door and fades into nothing.

While this is happening, my mom is talking about Eminem's movie, eight something. I am feeling increasingly nervous, partly from the corpse, partly from the fact that I am here for surgery on my foot. I guess Barium is here for the same thing. The doctors look sinister.

The nurse comes over and removes the wax paper on which the corpse was laying. She tells Barium to get on the gurney. There are chunks of dead skin from the corpse. Barium is all "Ewww! Gross!" as he climbs onto the gurney.

"You can brush it off, you know," I tell him. He does so. The pieces of flesh drift to the floor like snowflakes.

"Gosh," I say, grinning, "that girl must've had some really bad dandruff." When I'm nervous, I tend to make bad jokes.

Barium, who is also nervous, laughs. We see a nurse pull curtains around part of the room. Then the doctor turns of the light, so it is dark except for the shine of city lights through the window. Barium and I are laughing, and I swing my foot into the darkness, trying to kick one of those doctors. There's a shifting beside us, and some people grab both my feet and inject what I assume is an anesthetic into them. Barium is yelling.

As I fall asleep I realize that both my feet were injected. The doctors made a mistake. They thought one of my feet were Barium's. I might die from overdose, but maybe that's what the they wanted.

Dream 8, last night

Part 1: My mom's family is with us in this huge room. It's three stories high and could fit a couple jets side by side. I think Josh Groban was there, too, but I'm not sure. The part I remember is this train crash simulation, except these people would let the train drop from about a story above the ground onto explosives. They did it twice, and each time I thought it was a real train disaster and one of my family was underneath the train. I think Josh Groban was singing and the train would drop after he sang. But, again, I'm not sure. It was not a fun dream.

Part 2: Same room, after explosions, and all my cousins are sitting in this round wood structure with a diameter of about six feet. They're eating lunch. Barium climbs in and I try to get in, too, but I can't. They won't let me in.

Part 3: At place similar to Sea Ranch. This time Mom, Barium, and I are at a beach. These odd, translucent sea urchins are on the beach. They form a circle. My mom and some other adult are making a fire to cook dinner. I pick up an urchin and show it to Mom. She says we should put some urchins in a stew. The urchin grips my fingers with it's spines. It digs the spines deeper in my fingers, and my mom has to yank them out. My finger is dotted with holes.

Part 4: My mom, Barium, and I are at a place similar to Sea Ranch. Our rental house's living room is right on the beach and the wall facing the beach has glass windows and sliding doors. There is a storm and the waves are climbing higher and higher. It gets to the point where they're crashing against the glass door. I'm standing there, watching a turtle as it is pulled closer to the glass. I really like this turtle for some reason. Unfortunately, it's losing it's strength as it tries to battle the fierce waves. My mom comes over and tells me I need to save it before it hits the glass. I tell her that I'm not sure that I want to, because of the stormy condition.

Right after I say that, the turtle crashes into the window with a sickening crunching sound. It's neck breaks and it floats away, limp. I turn around and cry.

Part 5: Mom, Barium, and I walk to a beach. The storm is over. Barium and my mom step into the water. I call out, "Careful, there might be a shark there!" As I finish saying this, a huge eight foot shark swims away from my mom and brother. My mom steps back, smiling, but her eyes are tense with fear. Barium comes out too, slowly.

I turn around and see a snake dart out of the grass and towards Barium. I yell, "Barium, move! There are snakes everywhere!" He jerks back, and we can see snakes lying in the water. We watch the snake slither into the ocean. Barium jumps back in. My mom tells him to get out and we walk back home.

When we enter our home, there's an odd sound. Barium has to go to his piano lesson, so he's getting his books together. That sound ends up being a cicadaish bug. I'm scared, so I ask Mom if I can come along with them to Barium's lesson. She agrees, but she's not happy. I hurry to gather school work that I can do while I'm there, and she is yelling at me. I grab the laptop and shove it in the bag. Finally, we leave.

Dream 7, last night

First part: Kids from MCGT are at a party. Jaques, Josh H., Ellie, Vadskye, Hannah, Matthew, and a bunch of other people I didn't put a name to were there. I walk into the house, and Vadskye has a new haircut. It's kind of a mixture of Josh Groban and Daniel Radcliffe in HP #4, but it looks good on him.

Vadskye, Ellie, and I walk into a huge room. I've been here in a dream before. It's kind of like a swamp in the center, and there's water in a moat around the swamp. It's an odd but refreshing place and it smells great. To our right Josh H. and Matthew are commanding some other kids. It doesn't look fun. To our left is Jaques. We three jump in. Vadskye and Ellie head over to Matthew and Josh H. while I say hi to Jaques.

"Hi Jaques! Good to see you," I say.

"Hello," he replies, looking at a plant.

"You want to hear a joke?" I ask. When he says sure, I continue, "Okay. There was a schizophrenic guy who walked into a psychologist's office wearing only saran wrap. The psychologist took one look at him and said, 'Clearly, I can see you're nuts.'" I grin.

He looks at me blankly. "I don't get it." So I try to explain it to him, but inside I'm puzzled because Jaques is the type of person that understands and likes jokes. After a while I leave and go look around the swamp.

Vadskye is sitting on his knees. I go over and say, "Hey, your hair looks really good."

"I know," he says, looking worried. "Thanks."

Something's going on with Matthew, Josh H, and their little group. I don't want Vadskye to go join them, so I show him how to jump in the air, do the breast stroke like in swimming, and kind of fly. He still looks upset or worried.

Stuff deleted.

Part two: I am with my Aunt Jennis and she's telling me how she met Uncle Palmer.

Stuff deleted.

Part three: I am Maximum Ride, with my flock, and at a beach! Stuff goes on. Iggy carves something into a tree. Then Angel and I put on glasses and pretend to be blind people who can cut hair. We give makeovers to each other and a crowd builds around us, watching. Then this man with a young boy comes over and says, "You're my daughter."

"How do you know?" my Max self asks.

"Because I have enchilada's, beans, juice, and candy in my shopping bag," he replies. The boy looks at me with haunting eyes, kind of like William.

Dream 6, last night

Hannah, Ellie, and I are all in this hotel for some big reason. Maybe a Josh Groban concert. Or maybe a lecture on lymphocytes. Whatever the reason, it's big. My parents and Barium are in a rather large rented house. Maybe we're all staying there, but that's fuzzy.

So, first part of dream: A woman on the roof of a building won't sell something (stuffed animal, maybe) to a girl who has Down Syndrome. Being the righteous people that we are, Ellie, Hannah, and I are angry. Hannah phones the manager a complaint. Then we go through this long and boring process of how to ship that thing to Sweden, which is where the girl lives. Maps galore; it's very yawn causing.

Second part of dream: I'm in that rented house on the top floor in a bedroom, and I have this huge JOSH GROBAN! package. It has DVDs, CDs, books, etc all related to Josh Groban. I put on a music video and watch it. There's a girl with silvery-white hair that looks a bit like me. As I'm laying there watching, I realize it IS me. I think, "OMG, I'm in a Josh Groban video! I don't remember being in it, but I was!" Then I run downstairs to tell my mom and dad. They say I was, and I had to get my hair dyed.

Third part of dream: I'm on the computer checking my email. I find out I got a bad grade on an essay.

Dream 5, sometime within past 2 weeks

This is the dream with Josh Groban. Sorry, it wasn't you, Vadskye.

Barium and I are in a small car. Josh Groban is in the front. He is being rather dad-like - he's going to take us camping. We're in California and we drive into a small town in a forest. Josh gets out and walks into a store, looking for some more camping supplies. Well, waddya know, his newest album "Awake" (which is fantastic, btw) is in the store, and there's a cardboard model of him. All of us think it's really funny.

While he's looking at supplies, Barium and I watch his promotional "You Are Loved (Don't Give Up)" music video from a screen in the store. Ooo, aahhh.

Then Josh buys something, but nobody seems to recognize him as THE Josh Groban. We're all sad and puzzled. Until an alien walks up and asks for his autograph. (J/K about the alien.) Eventually, Josh says to the cashierette, "Do you know who I am?"

"Umm..." she replies, looking confused. "Wait... you look like that guy on the CD cover..."

"I am Josh Groban," Josh Groban says. (Ha ha ha! I love it when that happens. Of course, Josh probably wouldn't just go around trying to impress people in RL.)

Then we all get out of there before the ladies start asking for autographs and hugs.

Dream 4, last night

I was in my old house and my cousin Zebra was there. (She's sooo cyooot!) For some reason, the people in the house were being really abusive, and Barium and I decided to run away. We took Zebra with us.

So we were running and running towards the Broheem. I was carrying Zebra in my arms. As we approached the Broheem, it wasn't a river, but the Pacific. We stopped at the beach and hung around for awhile.

Then this guy was giving free haircuts, so we all got a haircut.

(Not a very well remembered dream. There's more, but it's lost.)

Dream 3, last night

I was at some sort of performance venue, with a stage a little smaller than Orchestra Hall. There were lots of people - the place was packed. Performers would come onto the stage, do their thing, then exit to let another performer do something. I think Josh Groban sang a song.

I was a person that helped the performers with their stage props or finding their way backstage. I remember helping a fiddler. When the show was over, I went backstage, where Jason, of all people, was also a stage hand. I think we helped the fiddler clean up or something.

As Jason and I was walking in the hall, these two famous people were saying, "I think I've seen you before. That shirt looks familiar."

"Yeah, it's the MYS shirt. You might've seen them around performing," I replied. (The MYS shirt was featured on the New York Times a few weeks ago, too! Osmo was wearing it. That's non-fiction.)

Then all of the performers and stagehands got on buses, and drove away to the next touring place. We must've been in Arizona or a south west state because there was cacti and lots of sand. We stopped at a place to take a break. Jason and I were talking, and we saw these huge, weird birds. One was like a black flamingo with yellow eyes. Another was sitting on a wall at the edge of a cliff. It was as big as a Newfoundland, and dark brown. Jason said something along the lines of, "Those birds scare me." And I said, "You're afraid of a brown bird??" He laughed. I'm not sure why he laughed, because it wasn't very funny.

That's it, folks.

Dream 2, Last Night

I was at a STAR-like place. The dream started with everyone from Teen Discussion (minus the "Die! Die! Die!" person) walking down the stairs into a hallway. We turned right into a small room with a bunch of cots lined up against the wall. On the cots were winter gear, which we put on while talking and laughing. Then we went back out into the hall and continued to walk down a short distance until we reached a door to the outside. (Similar to the 2nd floor door at the real STAR place.) We walked passed Ellie's mom and jumped off of the platform into snow. There was at least 6 inches of snow everywhere, and huge mounds lining the parking lot.

(Other boy in Teen Discussion besides Vadskye I'll call Zebra.)

"How are you, Zebra?" I asked.

"Fine," Zebra answered curtly. I tried to catch Hannah's eye, but failed.

Then we all took off running away from the building. For some reason I was holding a Sprite can, and I dropped it into a snow bank. We continued running to this place where the hill dips a little. I've seen it before in a couple other dreams. There wasn't any snow, and the sun was shining brightly. I could see farms, and tall, but very small hills to the left. (Normally they're cliffs.) Vadskye and I ran up a hill and pretended to be "King and Queen of the Mountain." I know, really lame. Then we ran down the hill and up another one similar in shape and size. And then we went to another one.

At the third hill, the scenery changed. The small but tall hills became rocky, like the tide pools at Sea Ranch. I started climbing on one, and found a huge crab, which pinched me with its claws. Vadskye had to hit it with a stick to nock it off my fingers. In my dream it didn't hurt, but it was uncomfortable.

We went to another "hill" similar to the previous one. I did the same thing - poking around and getting my fingers pinched by crabs. Finally at the third hill Vadskye said, "You probably shouldn't go on it again - look there's a crab." Of course, being the rebellious person that I am, I went on it again and got pinched. Vadskye rolled his eyes.

Then, I can't exactly piece it all together, but somehow all five of us got back to the building. I had to use the restroom, but there wasn't any privacy. There were two bathrooms, one with a couple of toilets (you really don't want to know this, do you? :P ) and the other with about five. Each had a "churchy" glow about them, probably from the stained glass. Finally I decided to go in the one with five toilets, and prayed no one would come in.

Anyway... moving on. That's all I can remember now. I'm pretty sure there was more, so if I remember it all I'll do another post.

Dream 1, last night

I am at a museum similar to the Walker in Minneapolis. At the top floor there is an auditorium, in which I will be playing my violin with my orchestra. My dad and brother are taking me, because I am sick. My brother, Barium, is eight and I am fourteen.

We arrive at the top floor. It is an odd shape, like a modern glob.

There are windows all around the reception area and it feels like you are in the sky. The building goes high enough to be covered in clouds on a rainy, foggy day.

Anyway, we get to the auditorium and sit down. I see Jason sitting in the brass section of our orchestra. They are playing a song, and it sounds awful. (First remembered dream where I hear music.) I give Barium purple squishy earplugs and get a couple for myself. However, the brass sound better as they reach the halfway point of their piece.

When it ends, Barium says, "I think they were nervous, but they got better." I nod.

I unpack my violin and go on the stage to play. I don't actually remember playing anything, but I do remember packing up, and I meet a famous violinist in a pale green suit. As I exit the auditorium I meet a famous violist in a pale green suit. Apparently they're going to be holding a few sectionals next week. The violist as frizzy white hair.

I enter the reception area, where there are large tables of food and drink and even larger crowds of people from my orchestra standing around them chatting. I spot Barium and my dad, and we walk over to the elevator. There are odd buttons that represent where you want to go. There's a flower, an exclamation mark, and a couple others. My dad explains what they mean, and we step into the elevator.
